In this role, I perform a variety of leadership functions within Guttmacher's Office of the President, including:- Serving as a member of the Institute's eight-person Executive Leadership Team- Leading the development of an Enterprise Project Management Office- Serving as an executive team member of the Institute's Strategic Positioning Task Force- Liaising with key institutional and individual major donors, and advising on development strategy - Providing mentorship for staff in a variety of roles within the organization- Representing the Institute in key external events and dialogues with partners and collaborators in the U.S. and globally.

Lead a six-person Development Team for a $20 million/year nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing sexual and reproductive health and rights in the United States and globally. Responsibilities include:- Developing annual and 5-year fundraising strategies, and participating in the design of research, public policy and communications projects;- Writing and editing grant proposals for submission to private foundations, government agencies and partner organizations; - Serving as a liaison to foundation program officers and government agency donor representatives;- Overseeing an individual giving program that includes an annual campaign, a major gifts program, Board giving and planned giving; - Participating the establishment of organization-wide policies and procedures, as a member of the Institute's senior Management Team;- Leading the development of the Institute's 5-year Strategic Plan and participating in its implementation and monitoring; and- Supervising and mentoring Development Team staff.

Lead a 5-person team in charge of mobilizing resources for a $15 million/year NGO dedicated to advancing sexual and reproductive health and rights worldwide. Responsibilities include:- Developing annual and 5-year fundraising strategies and reporting on progress to the CEO and Board;- Designing new research and advocacy projects;- Writing and editing grant proposals; - Liaising with foundation program officers and government agency donor representatives;- Directing an individual giving program, including an annual campaign, major gift fundraising, Board giving and planned giving; and- Supervising and mentoring Development Team staff.
