I am a Partner at Hahn Loeser & Parks, in the Business Practices Area. In addition to my Ohio law license, I formerly held a Certified Public Accountant and previously held other licenses as a Certified Fraud Examiner and Forensic Accountant (all now inactive). Coupling a strong business background with the ability to practice law, I bring an insightful perspective to resolving a wide array of client matters.In my legal practice, I counsel individuals and businesses (both for-profit and not-for-profit) on all matters of federal, state, and local tax compliance, including planning and controversy/audit resolution at both the federal and state/local levels. I assist my corporate clients with organizational structuring, documents and agreements, transaction guidance, and in all areas of regulatory compliance. I have experience working with clients on complex mergers and acquisitions, in both national and international markets.My previous experiences as an accountant gives me unique exposure and insight into corporate operations and commercial enterprises. I understand and apply accounting, finance, economics, risk management and asset administration concepts to the legal problems at hand, which enables me to help my clients without missing the bigger picture. While I have significant experience with the healthcare, banking, and energy industries, my practice is not limited to any specific industry. I also have experience investigating and resolving instances of fraud and white-collar crime.
