I am an Operations Manager at SES Ltd, with over a decade of experience in the high voltage (HV) industry. My journey began at 19 as a trainee, where I gained invaluable hands-on experience that paved the way for my progression into supervision and site management.Throughout my career, I have successfully managed projects ranging from protection changes to primary equipment installations, working on sites with voltage levels from 11kV to 400kV. This diverse experience has equipped me with an understanding of the technical and operational aspects of our industry.In my current role, as part of the SES core office based team, I oversee the operations of the business which includes resource management, recruitment, strategic planning, managing projects, workbook management and building/maintaining relationships with clients. Using my site based experience I have also enjoyed providing input into our tendering of future projects.In addition to my other responsibilities, I plan and organise lifts on our projects as an Appointed Person. I am also currently three-quarters of the way through my NEBOSH Diploma, further enhancing my knowledge in health and safety management within the industry.
