Whatever I have done in my life, it as always come back to networking and I still am networking.Currently, I am working on the sales side of the business with the sales teams reporting to me via our dynamic associate Sales Director, Marie Kevan. As always – so much to learn.As well as delivering at a strategic and managerial level, I have spent the last few years delivering part of this strategy by improving Internet Central’s infrastructure and personally upgrading us to full MPLS core on Juniper to deliver all the services that we and our customers need. This also called for a complete re-work of IC’s broadband platform.Over this, we run Private networks, Internet and SD WANS in order to give our customers exactly what they want and need.I am fairly buzzword compliant and this is not a complete list by any means as I have deleted some of the older technologies so as not to reveal my true dinosaur status : IT Policy and Strategy incl ISO 27001 / 9000, Leadership, Information Systems, IT Project Management (prince2, Agile) Data Networking Internet technologies and routing (IP4,6, BGP, etc) Broadband platforms (PPP, l2tp, radius, etc)Security, Firewalling, Fortigate, SD networking, Juniper routing and switching, MPLS technologies (MX routers, VRF, VPLS carrier ethernet, etc), Virtualization, Azure, Vmware.A bunch of older Cisco stuff too but we fell out of love with them so I am a bit rusty.Strangely, I am qualified to supervise the digging and reinstatement of roads, the clearing of duct blockages, etc and fibre installation for our own fibre installs.
