Building quality is so important to us that we recently acquired the domain BuildItRight.com as a means to demonstrate the quality materials used and reputable vendors that we partner with for our builds. We do build spec homes. And we will also build custom homes for clients interested in their own quality constructed residence. I also want to share a quick disclosure about our company name. The significance of the name "Hornet" actually dates back to the Revolutionary War. A British General, Lord Cornwallis, came down to attack the Carolinas (specifically Charlotte). After a number of battles, Cornwallis ended up getting pushed back to the North-East. It’s interesting that when he spoke of this area, he referenced it as a Hornet’s Nest. In other words, don’t go down there and mess with those guys! I’m proud to say that we embraced the Hornet name as a lineage to the area and as a proud trademark for how we protect our clients by building a quality product.
