As the chief appraiser and company owner of North Atlantic Appraisal, I lead a team of 90+ appraisers who provide residential real estate valuation services in MA, RI, NH, VT, CT and FL. I have a specialty in high performance (green) and complex high value coastal properties, including Nantucket and Martha's Vineyard. I also serve as an expert witness for the Commonwealth of MA Department of Professional Licensure and provide property acquisition valuations for the US Department of the Interior. I provide services for valuing divorce and estate settlement valuations With 40 years of experience in the appraisal industry, I hold the SRA and RA credentials from the Appraisal Institute and the Massachusetts Board of Real Estate Appraisers, respectively. I am a past president and trustee of the MBREA, and a designated RA member. I am passionate about promoting diversity, equity, and inclusivity in hiring, and confronting appraisal bias in our communities. I have developed the "Ten Fingers" Hiring Initiative to achieve these goals.
