Part of the UK Leadership team, I was responsible for a team that raised awareness of Netflix and defended its reputation in the UK, Ireland and Israel, through the implementation of strategies relating to media, employee engagement and regulatory communications.CORPORATE COMMUNICATIONS: Used local productions to tell local stories about the investment and opportunities they brought to the creative ecosystem. From financial reporting to executive management and stakeholder relations, I led a team responsible for all issues management related to the business and its content, through to proactive initiatives including, creation of an Emergency Fund to Support the Film & TV Industry during Covid, launch of Stories Festival in collaboration with the London Evening Standard, and First-Time Film-maker Competition to bring diverse new talent into the industry.PUBLICITY: Responsible for delivering highly talkable, innovative campaigns across 80+ films, scripted drama & comedy, factual and international genres each year, including The Crown, Bridgerton and Sex Education, which required ‘always on’ support and issues management alongside proactive title campaigns to coincide with their launch. This included everything from world premieres, through to influencer programmes, stunt activations and media relations activities to increase awareness amongst target audiences and increase viewership and subscriber numbers.INTERNAL COMMUNICATIONS: Adopted the approach of Inform, Engage and Inspire to communicate with 300+ colleagues in the UK team.EVENTS: Used events and stunts to engage with audiences and spark conversations about new titles, with everything from BAFTA Q&A’s through to red carpet events and stunt activations.

I oversaw all areas of communications to support the growth of Discovery’s international division, with a particular focus on overall PR strategy, corporate communications, newsroom management and leadership of an events team that delivered world-class engagement programs at sports events including Wimbledon, French Open and Olympic Games.
