He would clearly communicate the team’s priorities in such a way that I would know exactly how I would add value to the team's efforts. He would keep checking up on me to check on my progress and keep me accountable, and we would even have monthly one-on-one sessions. It was in those sessions that I saw JB as a natural-born mentor and leader. The greatest quality I observed that he had was his empathy how it manifests itself in his leadership style. He was always supportive and encouraging, always keeping up with what I was working on even outside my professional life and was an excellent source of wisdom. He helped keep me accountable on my personal career development and growth and was always eager to help me whenever he could. JB is absolutely one of the very best managers I have ever had in my professional experience. Because of JB's influence over the past year, I have evolved to be a better engineer, a better professional, and a better person. I count him as one of my guiding lights in my professional career and I am so glad I had the chance to work with him and observe his excellence at work.
