I was born and raised in San Diego. While earning my bachelor’s and master’s degrees from UCLA and CSUSB respectively, I lived in the Russian cities of St. Petersburg, Moscow, and Vladivostok. Then I spent time living and working in Washington D.C. After conducting research and enjoying horseback riding in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, I went on to teach many pupils in various national security programs domestically and abroad. I also wrote news reports for a national broadcast news network and then went back to teaching briefly at a few San Diego public and private campuses – Roosevelt International Middle School, High Tech High School, and Education First. Then I worked as a paralegal for several boutique law offices. Now I am looking to forge a new path in my hometown.
