Served as the Chief Perfusionist/Regional Manager at three accounts and oversee staff scheduling, inventory, physician relations, staff credentialing, quality assurance, and clinical activities at the account to achieve or exceed operation and financial targets. Revised and built the Carle ECMO pack with specification to optimize patient safety within the system, decrease costs, and increase end-user competency.Created and implemented system wide ECMO program paperwork to serve as a daily record and as well as downtime contingency.Implemented leukocyte filtration in conjunction with cardiopulmonary bypass to decrease systemic response of patients with compromised pulmonary etiology. Helped initiate and install TEG/Platelet mapping systems on the computers in all the operating rooms as well as in the ICUs. Also advocated and piloted the usage in the early phases of use.Assisted with the acquisition of the CardioHelp (Maquet) portable bypass machine for use in the OR, IR, Cathlab with the Director of Nursing- HVI. Increased ECMO usage 450% YOY and decreased costs and increased end-user thus decreasing program turnover. Computerize perfusion for all heart-lung machines with EPIC integration/Sorin Connect.
