As a father of three boys, I am profoundly concerned about the future of our country and the environment.During the pandemic, I designed a living moss wall to combat roadside pollution. After a few teething issues and developing my first Biochar living wall panel, I met Mr. Peter Birch, who shared my interest in environmental products and was enthusiastic about investing in my designs.Together, we founded Clean City Air with the vision of establishing a research and design facility dedicated to creating environmental products such as living walls and living roof systems. The Grenfell fire disaster profoundly influenced our approach, leading us to prioritise non-combustible materials in our designs. Our latest product range, 'GreenWalls,' offers both self-build systems for domestic use and professionally installed systems for commercial and residential applications. This year, we launched our new website, www.wallsofplants.com, to showcase our products. The site features a GreenWalls price calculator, allowing potential customers to design their own living wall systems and receive a detailed cost breakdown.As a resident of Leeds, my vision is to use the city as a showcase for our living wall and roof systems.Leeds could become the "Milan of the UK," adorned with living walls and roofs that create cleaner, oxygen-rich air and mitigate the urban heat island effect.In my opinion, this should be the future goal of every UK city!If you would like to hear more about what we do, please feel free to say hello!
