Hi there!My name's Jonathan, and I'm a graduate from the Schulich School of Business. I specialized in Strategic Management and Human Resource Management. I'm currently employed full-time as the Chief Financial Officer of a local Toronto based startup called LocalStudent, and also work part-time as the Strategic Advisor at a newly established tech startup, Jobby.I'm an avid business owner and operator, looking to expand my knowledge in the field of running small to medium sized businesses. I excel in management, operational, and finance related roles, where I am able to effectively develop, lead, and manage teams.In my current role as Chief Financial Officer of LocalStudent, I am responsible for overseeing, and managing all activities within the company. Primarily, my responsibilities include managing company expenses, payroll, revenue, and overall profitability through a variety of internal processes. Additionally, I work with and oversee all levels of company management by managing projects and overseeing results. This allows me to maintain an in-depth understanding of all aspects of the company, assisting wherever needed.Previously, I have also worked with an Ontario based non-profit organization, Student Helpers. Within the organization I acted as their press relations specialist, and worked with a variety of corporate partners, and independent journalists. This resulted in a televised feature on CBC National News, as well as a published feature in the Toronto Life Magazine. In addition to this previous position, I currently work with Student Helpers as a director on their board of directors, where I help oversee high level decisions that impact the future mission and success of the organization. Further to this, I assist with personnel, finance, and operations related projects ensuring the continuation of day-to-day organizational activities.
