Senior System Engineer
CurrentExpertly installs, test, maintains, and upgrades network operating systems’ software and hardware to comply with DoD (Department of Defense) requirements. Point of contact for system OS (Operating System) and software updates. Regularly participates in technical research and development to enable continuing innovation within the network infrastructure and computer environment and assist with future planning initiatives. Utilizes System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) to maintain compliance to include operating system deployment, images, security updates, patches, and task sequences. Able to proficiently troubleshoot all aspects of SCCM effectively and understand the product flow patch management, software distribution, logging, and monitoring in detail. Highly knowledgeable in supporting Windows 10 operating system and provides system administration support services to 300+ RDT&E (Research, Development, Test, and Evaluation) workstations and servers for on-site and remote site users. Performs Active Directory Services administration and Group Policy Object (GPO) management to include creation, design, cleanup and routine maintenance and configuration for computer accounts, service accounts, and user accounts. Currently executing hardware refresh to include desktops, laptops, and servers according to DoD and IA policies and procedures, while ensuring the documentation of all processes and architecture of both the testing and production environment. Deliver rapid service desk support via Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP), in-person, or by phone and respond to technical emergencies in order to minimize down time and meet high priority deadlines. Resolves both workstation and server issues by utilizing System Center Service Manager (SCSM) to create, modify, and track the progress of service request, incident management, and change management tickets until successful resolution.
