Responsible for building Feed the Children's new Foundation Partnerships department. Through the development of meaningful partnerships with nonprofit and corporate foundations, this department raises funds to support Feed the Children's domestic and international anti-hunger programs and initiatives. Additionally, I am project lead on efforts to build social enterprises in domestic food deserts.

Working on strategic planning and change managment for one of the largest U.S. based anti-hunger nonprofits. Feed the Children has a strong international and domestic presence. I am not only involved in internal strategic alignment efforts that allow for improved efficiency, deeper impact and increased fundraising, but I am leading the effort for the development of new sustainable domestic programming; which is part of our new brand. The new programs include the creation of social enterprises and businesses like grocery stores (with supporting behavior change components) in low income communities and food deserts.

Work to bring about policy, system and environmental change that will impact childhood obesity through a CDC inspired Pioneering Healthier Communities (PHC) Initiative. Through the PHC I bring together leaders in the community, i.e., hospital, local government, school districts, faith communities, on profits, etc. to reduce the rates of childhood obesity. Additionally, I generate funding for the McGaw YMCA through grant writing and Major gift cultivation.

• Develop, manage and evaluate programs, which include youth and adult obesity prevention, tobacco use cessation, chronic disease/diabetes management, and prostate and testicular cancer screening and awareness• Policy development around community health initiatives - tobacco use cessation and access to healthier food options in local school districts• Manage the Children’s Dental Clinic and Vital Records Office • Plan and manage the Health Department budget • Responsible for streamlining the major processes and strategic management of the department.
