Bootstrapped and Managed External Data Ingestion team. We built generic framework to ingest data from external APIs, such as Salesforce, Zendesk, etc and Cloud Services, like S3. We built tools to upload data from GSheet and local drive to HDFS/Hive/Vertica, aka CSV upload tool, with over 1000 internal users in three months after release. Worked with over 40+ internal teams as data partners.

Building monitoring system for fleet of internal servers and services

Building real-time DAU streaming processing system and analytics data serving system to supply user data to all game servers with scale of tens of millions active users

Designed and implemented real-time event tracking/monitoring system based on Hadoop and MySQL w/ capacity of handling millions tracking events per min. Designed and implemented app user engagement processing and report system. The system processed user session information using Hive/Hadoop and generated over 50 various user engagement reports on daily basis.

Designed and implemented internet-scale entity server and in-house proprietary data warehouse solution. In particular, designed and implemented fault-torelance fail-over solution for scalable entity server meta-data store; Redesigned and Implemented the execution piepline of dataware house engine to significantly improve (5X) the query performance.

Worked in the Server Technology Division to develop the memory components of Oracle Database Server. Projects involved in performance improvement in light of the trade-off between the recovery time and run-time performance, database fast check-point based on fine granularity data organization, detailed memory monitoring/advisory tools.
