About Jonathan Cheong

I am passionate about connecting people and businesses. I do this by identifying the missing dots in a route map (aviation network) and finding ways to make the dots connect. I love compiling route proposals and presenting to airlines (and working with various stakeholders) in a bid to establish new routes. I am always interested in understanding the operational challenges, infrastructure constraints, market and travel trade's insights, and the intel shared by the freight supply chains. These allow me to formulate an approach in bridging the gap (and challenges) such that I can work towards in increasing frequencies on existing routes or up-gauging current services to a larger aircraft.I am fortunate enough to grow up in a multilingual family which gave me the capacity to understand 6 languages. I have used different languages and apply different cultural backgrounds / sensitivity in aviation discussions and negotiations; which have been proven to be useful.My previous roles and education background have helped shaped my approach in finding ways to connect people and business; in addition to reassuring my view (from a very young age) on the critical role of aviation to the community.I am a proud Dad of one and have succeeded in convincing my household to be a strong supporter of Chelsea FC (Club) and Three Lions (Country).
