Technical Support Aide
CurrentI work in the Town Of Islip I.T. Department, where I provide technical support for employees within the Town of Islip throughout different departments. My services have been, but not limited to:-Remotely connecting to employee computers and provide troubleshooting services ranging from resetting programs, adding and removing connected devices (i.e. printers), guiding employees with better understanding their programs-imaging and setting up new devices (i.e. desktop computers, laptops)-moving around and physically setting up new or existing work stations-testing port connections for computers and office phones, and checking conditions of existing cables (rj11, rj45, HDMI, VGA, etc.)-utilizing Command Prompt and windows PowerShell programs to test and find connections to servers and programs; as well as installing existing programs found on computers (i.e. dell command update, wiztree)-Help with testing and setting up mounted smart tvs for offices-Checked for Sim Card #'s in smartphones, adding them in inventory, and labeling Sim Card # to smartphone-Use Sentenial One Program to remotely approve use of USB thumbdrives for users on computers-creating Quick Response (QR) codes for items provided by I.T. Department for updated Inventory purposes
