For 1 year I supported our Optics R&D and production teams by providing high-quality microscope images of products and defects. Optimized growth of carbon nanotube forests and filling with amorphous carbon. Explored thru-wafer etching via deep reactive ion etching (DRIE) for creating x-ray window supports. Collected weekly reports from student researchers. Authored 1 and co-authored 6 peer-reviewed publications.

I was responsible for characterization of the thin films used in the M-DISC using a variety of electron microscopy techniques. I also developed a process for providing AFM images and analysis to support manufacturing QA.
