I have recently taken on a new role as the Director of Logistics at Peavey Industries.I previously managed the operations of a growing company that deals primarily with the province of Nunavut. I was responsible for making sure our retail sector, our maintenance, garage and hospitality division all had the support and supplies they needed to operate effectively. I developed the warehousing and inventory management from a small, non-process based system into one that was actively monitored and maintained by a team of professionals using standard processes and technology. I was also in charge of the IT department and facilities management.While working at the Bank of Montreal, I learned that the world of banking is all about people, and how they perceive we are putting their needs above ours. My ability to connect with people allowed me to be successful at the Bank of Montreal, and to help those under my responsibility reach new levels of excellence. I understand that the Logistics world, much like banking, is also about people and relationships. That's why I chose to spend most of my time with DHL Global Forwarding as an outside sales executive in order to develop and refine those skills that are so important for success. I have participated in global RFQ's for multi-national companies, lead collaboration teams to solve problems and find solutions for customers, and grown all the territories that I have managed.Before taking on a sales role, I was hired by DHL Global Forwarding to participate in their Management Training Program, which is meant to quickly train candidates to take on leadership roles within the company. This was an 18 month program where I was able to participate in formal leadership training, as well as rotate through all the departments of DHL Global Forwarding.I graduated from Brigham Young University with a degree in Supply Chain Management.
