I bring more than 20 years experience with change management, strategic planning, relationship building (cross sector and within organizations), grant work, data alignment and storytelling, fundraising strategy and infrastructure building, and executive and development management assistance. At Hack the Hood, I focused on developing an individual annual giving program, creating the organization's donor data infrastructure, and developing structure and training for major donor efforts. The Estria Foundation is a groundbreaking public art organization using muralism and community-based education practices to provide a visual microphone for important cultural, environmental, and social issues. After this work, they returned as a consulting client from 2019 through January 2021. ● Secured more than $275,000 in funding for Mele Murals project from the State of Hawaii, Hawaii Tourism Authority, City and County of Oahu, and individual supporters● Developed organizational strategy, work plans, fundraising plans, and budgets● Served on the executive management team with founder and executive director● Provided ideas, content, and proposal language to support the Mele Murals feature documentary● Managed donor projects for Kickstarter (crowdfunding), community board, and special events● Secured grant funding for Water Writes, a global environmental advocacy project and The Estria Battle, the nation's largest public art contest and arts education event

The Capitol Hill Arts Workshop is a community-supported arts center offering a wide variety of arts classes, exhibitions, and experiences. More than 60 teaching artists teach students of all ages in the building's music, visual art, and dance classrooms and the historic building is home to a theater, a traditional darkroom, a digital lab, and a ceramics studio. ● Prepared and managed budgets in excess of $800,000● Encouraged greater use of and connection to the space and our team by launching more frequent open houses, multiple faculty recitals, and adult and youth student art shows and performances ● Managed five full-time, and sixty part-time employees and contract teaching artists including contract negotiation, hiring, firing, and review● Increased faculty retention by investing in a faculty culture of belonging/connectedness and pay scale improvements● Led program improvements resulting in 17% annual earned income growth● Systematized all processes and expanded a free tuition assistance program to reach more students and families in need● Oversaw robust fundraising effort (appeals, events, grants, board work, match campaigns)● Designed and executed monthly giving and major donor programs● Led the board in development, implementation, and use of strategic plans●.
