Jonathan is a dedicated Senior Lecturer at the University of the West of England, Bristol, a role he has held since January 2023. His professional experience spans clinical and entrepreneurial roles within the optometry field. Prior to his current position, Jonathan was a Partner at Norville Opticians under the Hakim Group from July 2021 to December 2022, where he managed and grew a thriving practice.From August 2017 to August 2021, Jonathan served as an Independent Affiliate at Evolutio Care Innovations Limited, contributing to the development of advanced care pathways. Simultaneously, he ran his own practice as the Optometrist and Director at Best Optical Ltd (trading as Jonathan Best Opticians) for over seven years, showcasing his leadership and commitment to personalized patient care.Jonathan's academic accomplishments include an MA in Law with Commendation from the University of Law (2020-2022) and a Postgraduate Certificate in Independent Prescribing (PG Cert IP) in Optometry with Distinction from Ulster University in 2020. He is currently undertaking the bar course as he transitions into the legal field, aspiring to become a barrister.
