• Assigned a small but intensive caseload of 5-6 families in immediate need of stabilization services to avoid the outcome of placement in a mental health institution. Conducted initial assessments using the DSM-IV to determine possible diagnosis, ability to implement a safety plan, and current level of actual or perceived threat to family members and the client. Created and implemented plans for resource allocation and community involvement with a great emphasis on sustainability of those resources for stressed families. Worked heavily with multidisciplinary teams to create the best outcomes and services for my families. Worked within funding parameters based upon county and individual client circumstances to maximize gain to the client while maintaining the agency’s bottom line. Established a proven track record with the agency in regard to paperwork quality, efficiency, and timeliness.

• Assigned to immediate assess allegations of abuse or neglect to a child originating from the State Abuse Hotline. Completion of a comprehensive assessment utilizing the Oregon Safety Model and multidisciplinary teams. Assessment of parent/family needs and referral to appropriate State, County, and community services. Thorough search and implementation of possible plans to insure child safety, through court involvement as a last resort. Completion of all necessary documentation to remain qualified for appropriate Federal and State funding, to insure due diligence for Juvenile Court, and assure case integrity and ultimately child safety.

• Designed and managed an aftercare program for juvenile offenders leaving the justice system. Engaged in crisis counseling and referral to emergency services. Aided clients in seeking entry-level to skilled positions through consistent, strength-based job searching techniques. Served as a vocational adviser to alumni seeking higher education and chaired the agency scholarship committee. Advocated for alumni individually in terms of referral to community services and pro bono services at City and State levels for under-served populations. Engaged in grant writing and solicitation for program resources, as well as event planning. Significant work in creating healthy networks for clients through community partners and education, to build self-sustaining young adults and responsible citizens. • Designed and implemented an agency vocational education program. Engaged in assessment of vocational interest, strengths, and ability. Created service plans based upon assessment. Provided college and trade education through hands on experience and presentations with the aid of community partners. Engaged in strategic planning, fund raising, and management of vocational advocates. Designed and implemented a curriculum for educating teens about health, social issues, and larger societal implications based upon personal behavior. • Managed a case load of up to six youth in a residential program. This included assessment meetings, treatment planning with P.O. and family, managing daily issues, and transition for clients who have sexually acted out and were in State care.
