During to my childhood in Guinea, West Africa, I first saw the effect that climate change, and specifically drought has on people's subsistence. This is why I chose to study Environmental Sciences at ETH Zurich, and went on to do a PhD on the effect of extreme drought on ecosystems. During my studies, I gained a wide variety of skills, such as statistical analyses, programming (Python, R and C), drone/UAV remote sensing, sensor system development and others. I helped build a set of complex measurement systems, both for my own research and that of my colleagues, and regularly helped them with their data analysis. In the past, my colleagues and friends have appreciated my honesty and integrity, my ability to work independently and systematically, my technical flair as well as my commitment to the projects I have participated in.
