During my time as an activity counselor at Camp Sweeney, I gained thorough experience with administering shots, medication, and recording blood readings. I was able to build positive mentor relationships with the campers and monitored their medical status by dosing insulin, reading and recording ketone and blood sugar readings at a minimum of four times daily, and keeping track of their daily diet. I also organized and conducted athletic activities for classes of up to 35 campers multiple times daily in the areas of Football and Lacrosse.
