Jonathan Strum has a wide array of experience on the legal and business sides of domestic and international commercial transactions. He is Chairman of FermenTek d/b/a AlgiSys KSA a biotechnology company which ferment a proprietary non GMO strain of micro-algae to make EPA rich omega 3s and plant protein. From 2015 to 2020, he has served as General Counsel to the Daniel Morgan Graduate School of National Security, a graduate school in Washington DC focused on National Security and Intelligence which has since become a part of Texas A&M.In his private business practice, he is actively engaged in several projects in the Middle East, Asia and Latin America. Previously, he was VP and General Counsel of Siraj Capital, a merchant investment firm based in Dubai and was Of Counsel to Patton Boggs in Washington DC. Mr. Strum has negotiated and structured financing from international institutions and private firms on behalf of start-up technology companies, established entities and foreign governments. He has coordinated multilateral project finance and advised on the establishment of overseas projects in the Middle East, Africa, LatAm and Asia.Mr. Strum is experienced in commercial and financial transactions, Islamic finance, Israeli start-up companies, ABS and general international finance activities, having handled negotiations with private equity and securities firms, offshore banks, foreign financial institutions and governments.
