•I work for my father on the family dairy farm. •I am involved in all areas of the farm including milking, operating machinery and assisting with farm management.•This work experience has helped me to build a solid work ethic and has taught me how to adapt to a wide variety of situations.

•I worked one day a week for ten consecutive weeks in the finishing department of Fleming Agri-Products as part of my school work experience. •I had the role of an assembly engineer. •I was paired with another employee and was tasked with removing machinery off the production line, assembling them and preparing them for storage. •Examples of machinery I assembled include: flat-bed trailers, toppers, yard scrapers, dung spreaders and shear grabs. •Quality control was also an important part of my role.•Through this experience I learned about the inner-workings of an engineering firm, the management structure and how to work as part of a team in the workplace.
