This move has again ensured an extensive cost saving to the business.

I was an assistant manager in the Wealth Planning and Advice Team, based in Leeds (under Retail Customer Products). I was part of the systems team, which look after two advice systems namely Welcome (a.k.a. SPOS) and Voyant, on behalf of Private Banking.Private Banking provide face to face, holistic financial planning advice and banking services for customers with savings and investments in excess of £250,000. Aiming to help customers achieve their financial goals and needs by providing access to a range of products and services.

This role was similar to the Private Banking Manager role, but based within retail after the Private Banking proposition within Lloyds Banking Group was changed. The Personal Relationship Manager offering was providing retail based customers who qualified under wealth and mass affluent criteria across all 3 brands of the Group (Halifax, Bank of Scotland and Lloyds Bank) with a Personal Relationship Manager. Once on boarded the service was similar to my previous role as a Private Banking Manager, however this was done using retail products and retail systems.Whilst in this role I was also given the responsibility of coaching colleagues who did not come from a Relationship Manager background, up skilling them and making sure they were confident with approaching customers when talking about wider areas such as pensions etc.I also used my previous experience in areas such as utilising WebEx within a Relationship Manager structure, and was tasked with being on various pilots in what was a new business within the Group.

I was a Private Banking and Advice Manager looking after over 700 Lloyds Private Banking clients on a proactive basis. I am in charge of portfolios of clients, not only managing their wealth but identifying opportunities to assist High-Net Worth clients, putting in place strategies for short, medium and long term wealth growth, along with servicing any protection and retirement planning goals. My daily activities included meeting with clients to assess their current financial situation and find the potential to add value and meet their needs, develop strong relationships with key stakeholders and wide product knowledge as I will be working with other areas of the Bank to ensure my clients receive the best advice available to them. This role meant I have had to have excellent stakeholder management, making sure I am regularly touching base with a number of stakeholders – be it local branches, wealth advisors, lending consultants or even Lloyds Commercial.I have also been on the Colleague Engagement Council within London Private Banking, representing the needs of clients – making sure we do everything we can to ensure clients are looked after in the best way possible. In tandem with this, I have also been attending workshops with a number of teams, seeing how we can improve the customer journey into Private Banking, in particular in terms of the amount of the literature they receive ahead of meetings.
