As the governing body of all amateur and professional baseball in Australia, The Australian Baseball Federation is responsible for all of the major baseball events put on throughout the year. As an intern, I was able to fully indulge into two different events.The 2013 National Little League Championships - (20 Teams, 280 Athletes, 64 Games)Working directly with the Tournament Director, my duties were to:• Provide major sponsors with branding opportunities through signage exposure and fan entertainment techniques• Utilize communication and time management skills in order to adhere to the schedule and timing of the event• Act as a source of information and coordination between the tournament director and head coaches • Help promote the ABF and awareness of the ABL (Australian Professional Baseball League)• Work with MLB International to ensure their “entertainment zones” are run correctly The 2013 MLB Australian Academy – (6 Weeks, 75 Players, 15 coaches, 5 Administrators)Working directly with the Head Operations Director, my duties included:• Serving as a channel of communication between coaches, umpires, players, and administrators• Daily preparation for training drills, field maintenance, and camp coordination• Ordering, organizing, and distributing uniforms, clothing, and equipment for players prior to and during arrival• Ensured proper signage and exposure to primary sponsors: Nike, Major League Baseball, and Australian Sports Commission• Provide information and insight (rosters, stats, player info) to all MLB and NCAA scouts who were present. (10-12 MLB Teams, 5 NCAA Teams)• Serve as somebody that current players could open up to whether it be career or personally related

As an intern I was able to work directly with a co-owner /operating manager. Over a five month span I was able to assist in evaluating their current market while also trying to create new market segments. As well as maintaining current members, more potential clients were reached out to through a joint-venture promotion, which I worked on first hand.

The experience at Yogurtini proved to be very valuable, as I was able to see all of the phases of a new business getting built from the ground up. Stepping straight into a manager position earned me a lot of responsibilities, with some of the main ones being:* Conducting interviews and training for all new employees* Managed schedules, daily operations, and customer satisfaction* Implemented marketing ideas while staying within the budget* Responsible for inventory control and purchasing

Reporting directly to the General Contractor, I assumed responsibilities such as:* Assisting with administrative duties* Organizing the completion of time sensitive tasks* General site maintenance of projects under construction

Main responsibilities included:* Organizing and reviewing key financial documents in preparation for new data imaging system* Facilitating electronic conversion of detailed client filing system* Training co-workers on new technology and coordinating project completion
