Senior Product Manager
I led a large, cross functional team of engineers and designers tasked with solving one of Procore's most critical business, technology, and user experience challenges. This effort required incredible stakeholder management; from the CEO and CTO to heads of Sales, Customer Success, and Marketing through to Director level leaders responsible for the Product & Technology teams with whom we needed to partner to deliver our solutions. I developed innovative communication methods to keep everyone in the company up to date on our progress. I published a weekly blog, we designed a large, open space that allowed anyone in the company to stop by and see what we were doing, and we consistently printed out artifacts like roadmaps, wireframes, etc. and posted them in high traffic areas so that everyone could see our progress moving forward. We also had weekly meetings with VPs across the Product & Technology team to provide updates and get feedback.We collaborated in new and unique ways to quickly define, test, and validate our solutions with everything from design wireframes and prototypes to production code with dynamic feature flags which allowed customers to test our solutions in the real world on real projects. While we learned a great deal from this effort, ultimately none of our solutions turned out to be viable and we decided to sunset the effort. This required even more stakeholder management, both internally and now externally since we had customers using our solutions live in production on projects. However, since we had built up a good deal of trust by being transparent and consistent in our communication we mitigated many potential challenges. After winding down this effort I focused on capturing our learnings and folding them in to the larger company-wide Product & Technology strategy for addressing this challenge. That strategy is now at the center of Procore’s efforts for many Product & Technology teams working towards several solutions.
Senior Product Manager, Mobile
I led, evangelized, and championed the initiative to partner directly with Apple as part of their Mobility Partner Program. I led our iOS team through a large effort to bring our iOS app up to par with Apple's world class standards for design and technology. I also met directly with members of Apple's go-to-market teams to develop product roadmaps and joint efforts to cross promote Apple devices and Procore software together to our mutual customers. I led the overall product vision for Procore’s mobile applications, and worked closely with other Product Managers and Product Development teams to ensure changes made to our mobile apps were done in concert with all other platforms.
