Jonathan's practice at Miller Nash focused on real estate and other commercial matters, regularly counseling developers, investors, property owners and purchasers, small business owners, lenders, borrowers, landlords, and tenants on a wide range of real estate transactions and disputes, as well as on commercial litigation matters.

Jonathan was an attorney in the Washington, DC, office of the global law firm, O'Melveny & Myers, where he regularly counseled executive branch appointees and nominees on ethics issues and the confirmation process, including in dealings with the Office of White House Counsel, Office of Government Ethics, and designated agency ethics officials. He also represented individuals and companies in connection with congressional inquiries and testimony, white-collar matters, and commercial litigation.
