I'm a dad, industrial designer, architect, and visual artist. I've founded and directed studios in Seattle and Amsterdam.As a kid I surgically dismantled every new toy I received instead of playing with it — just to discover the inner workings and attempt to successfully recreate it. This didn't always work out and certainly raised a few eyebrows, but it did lay the direct path to design school I pursued. After studying architecture abroad in Italy, I quickly landed in the Pacific Northwest cutting my teeth at top-notch design firms. In 2008 I co-founded the international design firm Graypants, merging strong passions for product design, architecture, and social responsibility. While Executive Director for a decade, the company distributed its flagship line of Scraplights worldwide, founded its Amsterdam hub for responsible production, and was awarded the SBA’s Millennial Entrepreneur recognition.Onward.
