I am a music performance major at the University of Illinois and graduated with my Bachelor's in Music Education from Southern Methodist University. I am studying with Jonathan Whitacker, and formally studied with Chris Oliver, current associate principal trombonist of the Dallas Symphony Orchestra, and John Kitzman, former principal trombonist of the DSO. I have over 10 years of playing experience and have performed in various ensembles. I have performed in the Meadows Wind Ensemble, the Meadows Symphony Orchestra as well as the Greater Dallas Youth Orchestra and the Lone Star Youth Winds. I also have significant leadership and teaching experience. I was a trombone section leader in the SMU Mustang Band and student taught in Carrollton-Farmers Branch ISD at Creekview High School and Dan F. Long Middle School. I currently teach lessons to elementary, middle, and high school trombonists as well as play in and around Urbana-Champaign, Illinois.
