I am working on the greatest challenge facing our world today: climate change. The planet is overheating. Eliminating our dependence on fossil fuels is vital. But we've already reached the point where it's not enough. The ocean is the world's biggest carbon sink, and our greatest potential ally in the fight against climate change. However, as the ocean absorbs CO2, it is becoming more acidic - threatening marine life, biodiversity and ecosystems, as well as human health. Ocean-based approaches to carbon dioxide removal not only offer the tremendous scalability we need, they present the opportunity to restore the natural balance of the oceans. At Submarine we're working to address the challenges of scalability and make this possible.I have over 25 years' experience founding and growing companies. I've built two companies through to successful exits, and three other companies continue to operate independently and are highly successful in their fields. Collectively, companies I've founded have generated $200m+ revenue and employed over 1000 people. I have deep experience across tech, including both software and hardware, and in particular AI. I am a results-oriented, 'get it done' type, and I have direct experience of every aspect of company building, from the very earliest idea stages to several hundred people.
