As a package handler we were responsible for getting as many boxes loaded onto the belts as possible each day. This was a very intense physical job. My responsibilities included unloading packages and loading packages when other stations needed help. Each day we would work as a team to be able to get to as many trucks as we could. Some days I would also be responsible taking care of the ICU's which are intensive care units (large boxes) that needed to be scanned and put on a separate belt.

As the Cashier at Big Y I was responsible for checking out our customers with a smile and upbeat attitude. My roles were checking out customers, cleaning stations, restocking bags, restocking shelves, and picking up carts. I learned a lot from working here, gaining excellent communication skills amongst the workers and customers, and very innovative and successful when working with a team. Each customer was treated the same every day, with the most respect and hospitability as possible. Our team of cashiers all worked together to create a fun filled and friendly environment for not just the workers but our loyal customers as well!
