Managed the grounds at John Carroll University. This included building mowing schedules, planning pruning and mass plantings across campus. I was also a member of their Sustainability Committee where I helped organize tree plantings which allowed the university gain the status of a Tree Campus USA.

Chagrin Falls

I worked my way up from a general laborer to a crew leader midway through my first season. I was trained in plant healthcare by the owner of the company and was then tasked with maintaining the gardens of some of our best customers. The crew and I also were given the opportunity to assist on various construction projects from plant installation to patio.

Cleveland/Akron, Ohio Area

I assisted the Community Outreach Manager in various day to day activities. Some days we were conducting field studies on local streams, and other days we were soliciting donations from local businesses to help with our annual fundraising event. I was a part of planning (at the time) the biggest fundraiser the organization had ever conducted.

In this position I learned about sales. I learned proven processes to gain exposure to prospective clients, and with the help of these processes I was able to be a contributor to our award winning team. I enjoyed watching people realize their dreams and helping them become a reality.
