I provide day-to-day management and strategic vision for the training organization at About Objects, a consulting and training company focused on emerging technologies, and I'm directly involved in consulting, writing, teaching, and speaking about iOS development in Swift and Objective-C.I previously developed and delivered developer training courses on Objective-C and what is now Cocoa (which back then was the NEXTSTEP/OpenStep development environment) for Fortune 500 companies, and performed custom Objective-C and Java EE web application development for Fannie Mae and the federal government.

Developed in-house framework for suite of mission-critical J2EE web applications used by a government agency.

Framework was later adopted by other organizations within Fannie Mae.Delivered 16 feature releases and 11 patch releases on time and on budget over a two-year span.

Helped lead team of 20 developers writing mission-critical order-entry/order management NEXTSTEP application in Objective-C. Developed a number of major UI components, batch processes, and infrastructure enhancements.Developed/taught courses on several topics, including Objective-C, Foundation framework, Application Kit (AppKit), and Enterprise Objects Framework (EOF).

Designed and delivered custom NEXTSTEP training courses and provided mentoring services for numerous clients, including Fannie Mae, Swiss Bank, Salomon, MCI, Trident Data Systems, and the USDA.Led development of a system that provided a multimedia client interface allowing users to formulate queries and view results from a free-text search engine running on a network of Sun workstations. Provided training, mentoring, and consulting on the Unix operating system and C programming language for AT&T, Bell Labs, HP, Unisys, Data General and others.
