Led a software engineering team in implementing enterprise data access and protection capabilities.● Designing and developing patterns for controlling access to data using attribute-based access controls (ABAC).● Determining how tools such as Saviynt, Okta, Protegrity and IBM CloudPak for Data can be integrated in order to enable row-level security controls and data field tokenization in order to ensure information can only be accessed by users/roles that are allowed to view data with specific access control attributes.● CloudPak is used to profile data and determine data sensitivity. Saviynt/Okta assign access control attributes to users during authentication. Protegrity tokenizes sensitive data at rest and enables only authorized users to detokenize data when queried. Multi-tenancy controls are implemented at the data store level.Led a team of software engineers using Machine Learning to support Cyber, Privacy, and Risk initiatives.● Led an engineering team to extract schema information from multiple database technologies in order to identify the security sensitivity classification of fields based on machine learning models.● Data sensitivity classification information was then used to identify risks and improve the security posture of CIGNA/Evernorth.● Used Kafka to stream metadata from multiple enterprise data sources, which was then processed through 3 AI/ML models to automatically classify and enrich data (from models and ServiceNow). Managed multiple development teams that implemented various applications for supporting Verizon's US and International telecommunications networks.• Provided desktop, web-based and mobile (phone, tablet) applications to enable customer service agents, network technicians and field technicians to diagnose and resolve problems in the network. Common code was used across all platforms and the web application ran on Tomcat, Weblogic and Websphere servers in production.• Provided a mobile application to enable construction technicians to more efficiently build and maintain the Verizon network. This includes both an android native application component (Work Print Redlining tool), as well as various web-based components (Time & Materials Reporting, ePackage, Job Issue Tracker).• Teams included onshore and offshore developers, requiring team building across geographically disbursed teams and the adoption and enhancement of processes that allowed the developers to work effectively together. Challenges included the obvious communication issues, but also knowledge sharing, attrition, capacity planning, issue tracking and test data/environment creation.• Applications included desktop and browser-based versions. Complexities included how to advance from desktop to web-based solutions as HTML/Java improved and as Adobe Flex and ultimately SVG technologies evolved.• Mobile applications included a Blackberry version subsequently replaced by an Android web-based application. Complexities involved how to display telecommunications circuit diagrams on various devices as technologies changed.• In addition to the technology challenges, also managed budget/funding, project roadmaps, new client requests, requirements gathering, JAD sessions, defect and IR management as well as ultimately deploying in production and ensuring 99.999% uptime and fast resolution of production issues.

Managed the development and enhancement of a telecom network fault isolation system (for Verizon Telecom and Verizon Business) which allows users to access business and residential FiOS circuits, VoIP and POTS phone lines, specials circuits and video broadcast circuits. The system enables network tests to be run on these circuits to detect/diagnose problems and recommend solutions.• Worked with web designers, graphic artists and sample users to create mockups of web pages and go through iterative improvement sessions.
