I began my solar energy adventures in 2005, and since then I have worked in the field of solar photovoltaic energy as an engineer, researcher, consultant, and entrepreneur. My expertise is focused on photovoltaic (PV) system engineering, encompassing residential distributed PV and large-scale PV plants, bifacial PV, agrivoltaics, BIPV, floating PV, CPV, and solar resource assessment. My educational background includes an Engineering Degree in Mining and Geology from the Faculté Polytechnique de Mons (FPMs), Belgium, and a PhD in Solar Photovoltaic Energy Systems from the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid (UPM).My past experience includes roles as Technology and Engineering Manager at Fotosolar - EDF Energies Nouvelles, Researcher at Instituto de Energía Solar - Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, and Freelance Consultant.I am a co-founder and the managing director of LuciSun, which provides technical guidance through consulting services and products to actors in the solar energy sector across all project phases, including early design, PV engineering, financing, construction, commissioning, and operation. Our clients include solar energy plant managers, consulting companies, investment entities, and public bodies. We provide a comprehensive range of services such as energy yield simulation, performance assessment, due diligence, monitoring, reporting, and fault detection and diagnosis. As part of my role at LuciSun, I am actively involved in research, along with other team members, ensuring that our company's initiatives are closely integrated with the latest advancements in solar technology. I have participated in several research projects at national and international levels. I am currently involved in the H2020 project SERENDI-PV on PV system performance, the Horizon Europe project SYMBIOSYST on agrivoltaics, and the Win4Doc project AgriEco4Wal on energy communities. I participate in the IEA PVPS Programme Tasks 13: PV System Performance and 15: BIPV. I serve as a Scientific Collaborator at Ecole Polytechnique Bruxelles - Université Libre de Bruxelles (ULB) and am a member of the Administration Board of BDPV. I have authored dozens of works, including scientific publications, communications, and patents on solar energy. Additionally, I am an editor for the IEEE Journal of Photovoltaics and a frequent reviewer for several high-level scientific journals and conferences in the field of solar energy. I also work as an expert evaluator and rapporteur for the European Commission.Email: jonathan.leloux@lucisun.comPhone/Whatsapp: (+32)468083738
