These cuts saved the brewing industry in excess of £1 billion.• Introduction of a pub specific business rates relief following Ministerial lobbying.• Amendment of the Neighbourhood Planning Act 2017 to improve the planning protection granted to pubs following extensive lobbying of the House of Lords who amended the Bill by a substantial majority. Subsequent lobbying of ministers persuaded the Government to adopt the change.

Worked as Parliamentary Assistant to Joan Walley MP. Responsible for running the Parliamentary office, writing policy briefings, press releases, speech writing, drafting Parliamentary motions and questions and liaising with key external stakeholders in the environmental movement. This included travel to Washington DC to liaise with key United States politicians.
