Responsible for architecture for all UK companies owned by Santander UK, covering A&L, Abbey, Bradford & Bingley, Santander Cards and Santander Consumer Finance. Manage a team of 20 architects who responsibilities cover functional, technical and solution architecture. Personally undertake definition of solution architectures on major initiatives for the bank. Programme manager for major technology re-engineering initiative with a budget in excess of £7M. Hands-on role in the day to day management of the programme, operating at all phases of the programme from design through to deployment.

Following acquisition, recruited from Abbey IT to form and lead the technical and solution architecture function within the new start-up company ISBAN UK.

• As lead architect, developed and led team responsible for development, delivery and support for a wide range of strategic middleware solutions on a 24x7x365 basis supporting in excess of 6 million transactions per day.• Established use of Core technologies included XP, Active Directory, Tuxedo, MQ and Websphere.Established technical direction for a portfolio of infrastructure technologies including image and workflow, middleware, eCommerce infrastructure, client infrastructure and Unisys host environment• Designed and delivered major projects including complete renewal of retail banking infrastructure for back office and branch network.
