Recognizing the value of diversity, equity, and inclusion to the City of San Antonio's mission, citywide goals, and core values, I am charged with supporting the Office of Equity by implementing equity initiatives citywide. I promote social equity in City processes, policies, procedures, and service delivery, while strengthening community awareness and engaging residents from under represented communities.

With an annual budget of approximately $800,000, I supervise and manage the budget, personnel, and programs that work to strengthen Chattanooga neighborhoods by:1) Fostering community partnerships2) Cultivating neighborhood leadership via leadership training3) Identifying revitalization opportunities4) Preserving and producing affordable housing 5) Spearheading activities that reduce blight.I also assist the City's Community Development Division with developing and implementing the strategic plans for allocating $7 million dollars annually in federal, state, and local resources for housing, economic, and community development programs.

As the City's first Affordable Housing Specialist, I developed processes, policies and procedures for strategically acquiring and transferring real property for affordable housing and economic development opportunities. Additionally, I oversaw a minor home repair program for low-income residents, assisted in establishing the Chattanooga Land Bank Authority, and created a program to transfer city owned surplus properties and back-tax properties for affordable housing development.

My versatility is a chief attribute. I have provided business development, operations management, public relations advice, and training to companies, individuals, non-profit groups, community organizations, and special interests groups. Managed and supervised real estate default operations and departmental budget for two multi-state, multi-million dollar law practice groups conducting business in 6 States, while supervising 63 employees.

Organized judicial dockets, drafted orders, and conducted judicial research and writing encompassing civil, criminal, landlord and tenant, juvenile, and child neglect cases.
