I am a Partner in the New York office of Wilson Elser, focusing on insurance coverage, both monitoring and coverage determinations with a concentration on directors and officers (D&O), professional errors and omissions (E&O), employment practices and cyber liability programs. I represents D&O insurers in financial institution claims, shareholder derivative actions and class action securities litigation. My experience draws on multiple disciplines firmwide with emphasis on insurance coverage as well as D&O, employment, construction and professional liability defense. I advises insurance companies and claims administrators on all coverage issues including those involving excess insurance, extra-contractual liability, policy language, conflicts of laws, reinsurance, co-insurance, rescission, misrepresentation and the interplay of other insurance clauses. I currently represents insurers regarding product lines exposed to the subprime mortgage and financial crisis and has actively participated in numerous mediations.In addition, my litigation practice focuses in commercial litigation and professional liability. I have experience with matters arising under E&O policies covering attorneys, co-op boards, software developers, engineers, consultants, agents and other types of professionals. My practice also includes employment matters involving all types of discrimination and harassment, retaliation and wrongful termination claims.Further, I have been published in a variety of legal journals and newspapers on issues such as employment and cyber liability.
