I was appointed as the first Head of Lendlease’s Global Residential Practice alongside my role as Managing Director Property Europe with a global team and strategic oversight of a worldwide portfolio of 60,000 residential units under development totalling A$50bn across USA (NYC, Boston, Chicago and California in partnership with Google) , Asia (Singapore , China and Kuala Lumpur), Australia and EU (UK and Italy). The Practice was established as a Board priority to further de-risk, optimise and grow the residential portfolio as it grew globally by developing a knowledge sharing culture, investing collectively in digital design for manufacturing and establishing new strategic supply chain partnerships and common customer CRM platform.Key achievements included:• Introduced new pan-regional supply chain partners leading to cost, quality and service improvements• Global safety in design standards established and adopted with emphasis on fire• Single customer systems platform and experience levels adopted globally, improving NPS• Global design team established with speed to market and efficiency metrics improved• Single coordinated global Lendlease salesforce created from disparate regional and project teams

Lendlease is an Australian multinational construction, property and infrastructure company with 11,000+ employees worldwide, £645m Group EBITDA and £5bn market capitalisation.I Led the European property business of 350 talented people, across UK & Italy with full P&L accountability, a total annual capital budget of £400m+, seven £1Bn+ projects and the residential, commercial office and retail businesses sectors. Under my leadership the business grew to become the largest developer in both the UK and Italy and the largest regional development business in Lendlease’s global portfolio. The growth was established by securing a number of high-profile projects through highly competitive public tender and private sale including Euston station over-station development , Thamesmead in partnership with Peabody Trust and Silvertown quay with the GLA, Smithfield with Birmingham City Council and MIND and Milan Santa Julia both in Milan. Creating a total development portfolio of £28bn GDV. Invited to join MAF Properties by Mr Majid Al Futtaim.Established and led a world class development team with capability to execute the delivery of a high-quality portfolio of new developments in the MENA region. An international and local team of 20 was established within 6 months including all required disciplines to complete this task as well as global procurement of third-party architects and consultants. The projects were located in Egypt, Lebanon, Bahrain, UAE, Syria, Oman and KSA. The projects included six 4 and 5-star hotels, five regional mega-malls including City Centre Bahrain, Mirdiff City Centre Dubai, Beirut City Centre Lebanon, The Luxury extension of the Mall of the Emirates and Cairo Mall of Egypt.

A three-way Joint Venture with Hammerson, Land Securities and Henderson Global Investors.Fully responsible for all aspects of the multi award winning $1.5bn Bullring shopping centre, Birmingham which opened as originally scheduled in September 2003. The Bullring was Europe’s largest city centre regeneration project at the time, included a mix of both residential and commercial offices as well as the reactivation of Moor Street Railway station and multiple infrastructure and transport works.
