Principal Developer working on projects to use data to further Child Protection and fight human trafficking in the US and around the globe!

As part of this position I have certified as a Splunk Power user, Splunk Admin and most recently as a Splunk Architect. All of these certifications are on Splunk 6.x I am pursuing the Splunk 7.x certs asapI spend a majority of my time working in the guts of Splunk, onboarding data, building dashboards, configuring servers, working on datasets, you name it, I do it. I have not done much with Splunk ES but am confident that I could pick it up easily.

Software development for web based tools and problem analysis

I evaluate the processes of technicians in the Network Operations Center (NOC) and determine if tools can be built to automate some or all of those processes in order to free techs to work on real problems. If tools can be utilized to assit, then I design the interface and program the back end PHP and MySQL database systems to accomplish the job.

In this position I develop software tools to ease the jobs of support technicians in both the NOC and customer facing centers. Tools are developed web apps using PHP, MySQL, Oracle, PostGRE/SQL. Developed on CentOS tools interface directly with Metaswitch,SONUS, and other VoIP switch databases and servers allowing for automated restores, reporting, health-checks and general informatics.

I worked primarily monitoring system maintenances and verifying that alarms that hit the network were or were nto related to those maintenances. I also tried to deconflict as many maintenances as possible.Starting around 2010 I started developing tools for the surveillance organization in PHP, VBA, and some simple scripting.

Watched the network at Nuvox and accessed devices from muxes to routers and from TDM phone switches to VOIP switches. to determine if problems were occurring and if they could be fixed remotely or needed onsite attention.

I worked with customers ranging from individuals to corporations on thins ranging from email problems to MPLS configuration issues.
