Coach for College is a national program that sends student-athletes from around the country to rural Vietnam to coach a sport and teach a school subject. - Earned the opportunity offered exclusively to student-athletes around the nation through a multi-step interview and application process- Implemented unorthodox teaching tactics to educate over 100 disadvantaged students while dealing with a severe language barrier- Gained an in-depth understanding of Vietnamese cultural variations and different perspectives through complete immersion in the rural Vietnamese environment

In 2017, Portage High School wrestling was ranked 17th in the country. With multiple wrestlers in the lineup ranked nationally, wrestling in Portage is more than just another sport. - Resolved difficult and controversial situations between two or more wrestlers- Diffused arguments between two or more parents and the head coach- Administered weekly one-on-one mentoring sessions with four wrestlers from underprivileged families- Developed young wrestlers and led Fegely Middle School to its most successful wrestling season in over 20 years
