I am a dedicated travel soccer and multi-sports coach in the DMV area, responsible for six teams, including two competitive travel boys' teams in the National Capital Soccer League (NCSL). NCSL is the DMV area's premier promotion-relegation league that includes some of the top clubs in the nation. Beyond coaching competitive teams, I mentor younger players and coaches, coordinate summer camps, and lead private clinics making sure the game remains safe, fun, and accessible to more.With over six years in K-12 PE/Health and 13 years as a Teacher and Senior Tutor, my coaching philosophy is shaped by a strong focus on leadership development and a reminder of the need to stay intellectually humble but also reasonably informed while engaged in continuous professional growth. I aim to enhance coaching education, diversity (IE inclusion of aapis in Director level roles), governance, critical thinking skills, and metrics at both the youth and professional levels while also informally serving as an ambassador of the game. I have logged more than 20,088.5 professional coaching, administrative, and teaching hours to date. I also bring to the table more than 4163.95 educator, researcher, and coaching professional development hours beyond my graduate course-work completed over a decade ago. I’ve guided students to top academic institutions like Washington University in St. Louis, the Naval Academy, Johns Hopkins, Harvard, MIT, and Yale on full academic scholarships.Outside of coaching, I enjoy yoga, chess, music, philosophy, contemporary art, film, comparative literature, and local history. I continue to have other subject matter interests as a former multi disciplinary substitute teacher, Home Bound Instructor and tutor who has covered many high school and introductory college-level teaching assignments. As a Homebound and Hospital educator I often "brought the school to the student" and was responsible for covering Social Studies, Science, Math, English K-12 as well as various AP and IB advanced subjects in alignment to state standards of teaching excellence.
