During my time as an Implementation Expert, I was a key member in setting up the Wakefield Asset Recovery Centre (ARC). As the ARC developed my focus shifted to the running and operation of the site while still undertaking the tasks I did as an Implementation Expert. The ARC was a store fixture and asset reclamation/redistribution site which aimed to reduce landfill waste as well as costs and fixture waiting times during store construction projects. It was my responsibility to ensure any reusable features or assets were brought to the ARC from store refits/closure, then prepared and sent back out to other new stores or refit projects. Across the almost three years, it was operational the site achieved just over £2 million worth of savings for the company. During the Covid pandemic, the site became the main hub for the storage and distribution of PPE to all company stores, offices, and distribution centres across the UK and Ireland. Responsibilities:. Recovery of assets from closure/refit sites.. Storage management, repair of fixtures, accounting of stock, development of stocktaking systems.. Providing quotes of items the ARC could provide to upcoming projects.. Management of transport between project sites (usually 40ft trucks). Surveying of potential recovery sites.. As a Dixons Carphone Implementation Expert, I was responsible for overseeing refit and upgrade projects across the Currys and Carphone Warehouse brands in both the United Kingdom and Rep. Ireland.Responsibilities:. Leading larger teams of store colleagues as well as other Implementation Team members to complete moves within stores.. Liaise with contractors to ensure the completion of large construction projects during refits. . Ensure all appropriate resources have been ordered/arranged via head office and create work plans for each project.. Jonathan Charles Fine Furniture deals high end, reproduction antique furniture. I was part of a small four-man team involved in a multitude of logistical areas in the company.
