Subsystem Architect•Monitored design resources to ensure preliminary packaging of the VASS subsystem was complete, and all best practices were met, for all North American vehicle programs passing through Advanced Vehicle Development.•Presented VASS subsystem features, functions, cost, mass, and status to vehicle program teams. Lobbied for incorporation of premium VASS subsystem features.Advanced Technology Work (ATW)•Invented a novel way to combine two current vehicle electrical subsystems together into one, which will potentially save twenty five dollars and nearly a half kilogram per vehicle. Worked with the internal Invention Review Board and an external law firm to file the invention for a US patent under my name.•Initiated and led an ATW project to develop a prototype of the above combined system, with the eventual goal of taking the idea to production for future vehicle programs.•Conceived, designed, built, programmed, tested, installed in a vehicle, and demoed to management a prototype microprocessor based system using Bluetooth technology. Completed this project with a cost of only a few hundred dollars for materials.•Led Design for Six Sigma (DFSS) projects, completed all required training, and obtained DFSS Black Belt certification. One of the DFSS projects led to a patent filing with two other GM engineers.
