I have more than 20 years of experience as a communications and public affairs professional.In my current position, I manage the active media relations and public information program for Baltimore/Washington International Airport (BWI).I represent BWI and serve as chief spokesman before the international, national, local, and aviation trade media, as well as the general public. BWI is a large hub airport with more than 12,000 employees and 22 million annual passengers. My position requires very specialized knowledge and experience with numerous important, complicated, and very high-profile issues.Over the past several years, I have managed BWI's efforts to build a strong social networking presence. The airport is now using several popular social media platforms to keep customers informed, while also monitoring public interest in the airport. These new media communications have created additional opportunities to connect with customers.I am an active member of the airport's emergency team and I am prepared to respond to emergencies, operational incidents, and weather events on a 24-hour-a-day, 7-day-a-week basis. I am on-call every day, night, weekend, and holiday in order to provide timely, accurate, and consistent information to the media and the general public.
