What started as a Personal philanthropic project designed to foster social entrepreneurship and reduce barriers to philanthropic giving with an alternative business model and engagement experience, is now the crowdfunding arm for members of the Strategic Design Association / SXDI.org Process: Using a rapid and collaborative design approach I worked with start-ups and local charities (NPO's) to design and develop the business model, analytics, tracking, marketing, follow-up, systems, infrastructure to get the offering to market. We have soft launched and tracked everything resulting in engagement that increased the reach and revenues of the business and the non-profit. The initial (beta) campaign produced directly attributable donations of over $40,000 to the charity in the first 30 days and revenue to the business of over $60,000 in the same time period. We also worked with both to implement an ongoing strategic partnership and system for continuity creating a win/win/win between the charity, business and the community.By design, the system has been integrated into the Strategic Design Association system to provide a crowdfunding platform for SXDI.org members as a way to achieve their funding goals, market acceptance test and make an impact on the world.The system is iterative and evolving based upon data, research and feedback. -
